Raj Mukherji, Esq. is a healthcare lawyer and investor and experienced public official who has co-owned or facilitated complex transactions involving hospitals, nursing homes, surgery centers, and information technology ventures. He was a leading medical marijuana advocate in New Jersey, and – prior to his death – Mr. Mukherji’s late father was the first patient member of the Medical Advisory Board of a nonprofit New Jersey medical cannabis provider. He is presently an Assemblyman in the New Jersey State Legislature and a municipal prosecutor, and he was previously Deputy Mayor of Jersey City, a technology CEO, and a Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, where he served in military intelligence. Prior to his election to the Legislature, he served as the chief New Jersey regulatory and legislative lobbyist for Fortune 500 and S&P 500 healthcare companies such as diagnostics and clinical lab giant LabCorp and retail pharmacy and pharmaceutical wholesaler Walgreens. He holds a B.A. from Thomas Edison State University, an individualized Master of Liberal Arts from the University of Pennsylvania, and a Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Seton Hall Law School.
